Flor Frias

Born in Buenos Aires, Flor Frias graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in Design, complemented by studies in Fine Arts at the University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. This dual curriculum in Design and project conception, as well as in experimental artistic research, harmoniously complement each other in her work. Drawing inspiration from Art Nouveau, decorative art, and surrealism, her artistic identity has consolidated around drawing, influenced by her keen observation of nature and the organic and geometric forms it offers.

Her work arises from her sharp perception of the world, forged over years of experimentation and artistic creation, particularly in the fields of styling and craftsmanship. Recently, she expanded her artistic horizons by devoting herself to mosaic art, where she continues to express her unique vision and artistic commitment. The notion of metamorphosis is at the heart of her work, as is that of accumulation and proliferation. Her works become living beings in themselves, each with its own singularity.

In 2023, she moved to Valensole, in the heart of Provence, to immerse herself in the tranquility of shimmering lakes, the inspiration of flower-filled fields, and the expanse of the countryside, finding fertile ground to nurture her creativity within this enchanting landscape.

The Nespoules

The concept of Nespoules emerged during the creative process with seashells and ammonites. They are lively, dancing creatures, pulsating with vitality. Coined as Nespoules, this term swiftly became synonymous with the artist's entire oeuvre. Essentially, a Nespoule encapsulates the essence of nature, perpetually evolving through diverse materials and techniques, seamlessly blending elements of the animal and botanical realms.

The methodologies employed in crafting Nespoules are grounded in natural phenomena, such as layering and repetition. Guided by the principles of nature, each Nespoule is meticulously shaped by the artist's hand, resulting in intricate and organic forms.
